Hello all!

I was just talking to a friend of mine, and we were discussing our interests in cars. I realize that all of us are at a point in our lives where we believe that we know what's "cool" and what's "rice". I feel that I have matured to the point that I can laugh about what I used to like, back when I was younger......

For instance, I used to think that underbody neon looked really good!!

Come on people, confess! I know that I'm not the only one who has skeletons in his/her closet!

I never liked rice that much, but before I got into cars, I thought cars with racing stripes looked pretty cool. I also liked painted door handles... and honestly, I still like to look at them, but I'd never go near a car dressed up that way! :D

I loved body kits.

Body kits, body kits, body kits.

The type where it adds about 15 new intake holes and puts the kit about .000002342 cm from the ground.

I loved chrome....my first 240 was gonna have the interior trimmed out in the chrome paint, and then i was going to throw chrome fender trim on it, chrome rims, totally chromed out engine, etc etc etc.....

Glad i grew out of that one.....now i just look at all these chrome covered cars and laugh....it looks good in moderation where it's meant to be, but other than that it just hurts the eyes, and looks BAD

I was more of a hopeful domestic ricer, myself. Like a big, obnoxiously loud Foxbody with the tach out on the freaking hood. What a freaking retarded idea...

I wanted to get a CRX, and yes, oddly enough get it all black with silver rims and red calipers. And maybe an underglow. All I remember though, was that I wanted a CRX. Thank god my dad found my 240 first

I had a friend back in the day that rolled spokes on his s10 and his blazer, he almost talked me into buying some for the 240. It's a good thing I was 16 and moneyless.

To tell you the truth, when I first got interested in cars, I was never about much other than performance. I mean, I've always liked subtle and clean cars, nothing show car-ish or any of that. That's just my style in general.

My favorite movie WAS FnF.... and I thought neons were cool and one thing I regret so much doing to my 240..... I put a bodykit on it. I bottom out wherever I go and it's such a hassel... *sigh* I keep thinking all the things I could've done with the money I spent putting that kit on... :(

I never liked anything very ricey, but strangely I also wanted a Black CRX.....I used to think eclipses were cool too for some reason, but I never have liked body kits. Always thought a stock looking car runnin 12's would be more important to me than a 15 second show car, not to mention the attention body kits get

whatever, i love rice! body kits, huge chrome wheels, neon, mega spoilers (the shaped carbon fiber kind, the aluinum deck ones have always been gay) decals, etc etc. euros are totally weak though. also i think that audio visual stuff is freaking stupid, i have a cd player and coaxial speakers in the stock location, but any additional amps/subs/tv screens/HEAVY **** is freaking gay.

if you dont think that car is awesome, your just a gaywad who is pretending not to like it so you can sound more hardcore by saying performance > looks.

LOL! Well TF&TF brought me into the tuner world so now you know where I stand. I aint gonna lie I kinda still like neons. I love audio visual stuff as well, but it depends on the vehicle and I dont mind subs in any car unless its incredibly slow. Wings again depends on the vehicle, but FF=NO. I love chrome, but mostly on luxury vehicles or trucks. I like body kits, but it depends on what kind. I dont mind attention getting kits and I dont mind the stock look either, but if its gonna be kitted it cant be gawdy. I believe Im done now.

wow, for a second I thought you were actually serious about that.....abomination. I am not saying this to be the bigger person, I simply like the stock 240 look enough, that if anything I would spend the body kit money on how it will take corners at speed. Body kits just never appealed to me that much. I am not saying I will never get one, just that I am only 17 and I wouldnt be able to have a strong engine/drivetrain AND spend 1K+ on a body kit anytime soon : \ When I get a fastback (if I ever get it), I wont consider a body kit until I am satisfied with everything else.

Ok ok I have to admit, I wanted a crx. And I still do (you wouldn't believe the incredible gas mileage...once I get my S14, a crx will be on the way)

I use to look around for body kits for my 2000 integra before I bought my 240. Then it dawned on me, it looks better without the body kits.

in all honesty.. i didnt even know what 'rice' was until i graduated high school. back then i had a v-6 firebird.. so i was partial to american muscle.. tryin to swap a v-8 into it and all that.. i was talkin to a friend about it and he says: oh man you're gonna be like those "ricers" that swap engines out of civics and stuff. i had no idea what he was talkin about but eventually i found out. then i thought the ONLY way to have a fast cheap car was to get a Honda and swap the engine.. which would have made me a "ricer" :rolleyes but i couldnt stomach the thought of having FWD so i held out on getting a Honda and was saving up for that v-8. then i found out Nissan had RWD cars :D Praise the Lord!!!
