Condensor Fan

I just bought a 2010 QX56 and the condenser fan stays on all the time, never shuts off, even when the A/C is not turned on. Is it supposed to run all of the time? If not, any suggestions?

I don't know specifically on the QX56 but generally the condenser fan may be used by the ECU to cool the radiator if the radiator fan is struggling due to high ambient temperatures or blockages/air in the cooling system. Hopefully someone that has a bit of experience with the QX56 can chime in.

neither fan should stay on constantly. could be a stuck/faulty sensor.

first thing to do is plug up the obd port to see if there are any fault/dtc codes.
