The storyMy sr won't start so I'm troubleshooting it has spark and fuel. At one time one cylinder was firing #4 while I crank the eng. Ok I know timing so I checked and re-checked by the book and nothing it just turns over. Looking around I found a small plug by the ignitor chip so I looked it up in the fsm and I think is the condenser (I don't know what that is) so can someone school me on this. Can the condenser keep the eng. from starting? I have the eng. grounded pretty good, battery is new with plenty of juice please help thanks. please keep flame to a minimum

the condensor has no effect on how the engine runs.

have you checked to see if you have your CAS set at 180 degrees off? The S14 manual has you reset the CAS 180 degrees off from the S13's position.

the book says to set number one piston to TDC of the compression stroke. I reset mine to TDC of the exhaust stroke and the motor turned over fine. Before I did that, the car would just crank and not turn over.
