I just installed a 9006 5000k kit into my 08 maxima and now i have condensation in one of my headlights. I know the shop had to modify the 9006 to fit into the headlight housing since it came from the factory with a 9005 bulb. Could this be the problem?

They didn't seal up the headlight well enough. I took out my amber corner inserts and had the same issue. Had to take the whole housing apart a 2nd time to make sure I sealed it everywhere. I also drilled several small holes in the bottom of the clear lens to allow water/condensation to drain. I drilled 6 or 7 small holes along the bottom of each light from end to end. You can't see the holes, and it seems to be working great. Its been almost a year now, and no build up inside.

I agree with ZGadson, I bet money on it that they did not seal up the housing properly. I know the same thing happened on my brother's 96 Toyota Avalon. We had to take the driver's side headlight and reseal it . It was a major pain in the A$$!!! I would recommend taking it back to the shop and telling them that you are getting condensation buildup inside.

I had the same issue when installing my first set of HID's. Mine was due to the hole that was drilled to accommodate the grommet.. I now have two extra sets of headlights and I am going to pass on drilling for my next install..
