Well the rocker panels on my car are rotting from the inside out. So much so that I have holes in the rocker panels (previous owner was supposed to see a body shop in 2005...).

So what does Concours d'Elegance think of having non OEM metal welded to no OEM weld point?

If it is for a Concours show, AACA rules usually indicate a judge cannot go underneath a car or remove parts.

However, unless it is an "open to all" custom part of a show, it takes an actual owners club that is knowledgeable of AACA rules and regulations to publish Concours guidelines.

The Corvair club publishes a booklet of Concours guidelines at the following link to get a flavor of a club's rules.

I was kidding but why don't we have one of these events for Q owners? There must be at most 100 of us that would participate.

A good place to start would be for a large number of us Q owners to attend NICO events.. :-)
