after the removal of the intake manifold butterflies, would there be a "vaccuum leak" if the holes between the runners werent filled/plugged?

when i rebuilt my KA in the spring of 07, i removed the butterflies, but only plugged the hole to the atmosphere, i left the holes from the rod that ran through the runners. would that cause a high idle?

I don't think so, all the write-ups I've read haven't said anything about the inside rod holes. Check all your other vacuum lines for leaks.

It wont leak, but it will disrupt the intake velocity between the runners. It is best to seal the holes with JB weld. I've done that to a few of them for hine and extruding.
