I ordered my 2.5S A/C yesterday. Because of package restrictions, I did not get fog lights. My plan is to have the dealership install fog lights upon delivery of my vehicle.

My questions is this> Will the quality of the install be the same? I'm concerned about the interior switch and the work done to the dash.

Nobody can guarantee or answer this with certainty. It depends on the dealer and carefulness of the people doing the work. Just don't worry (yet)...first you have to actually get your new car. Ultimately, it depends on the quality of the technicians at the dealer and how responsible they are.

You're right. I know my first priority should be to actually get the car.

Any idea where the switch will go? Is there a cut out in the side dash where the switch would have been in a 3.5 or something?

I wouldn't worry if I were you.I have 3 Nissans. An 06 Altima, an 02 Pathfinder and an 03 Sentra SE-R.

The Sentra came with fog lights, but I installed fog lights in the other 2 vehicles. The fog light switch you are concerned about is not really a separate rocker switch or anything like that. You also don't need to run any wiring. These cars are all pre-wired for fogs. There is absolutely NO work done to the dash. Totally unnecessary. The fog lights are turned on by a twist actuator which is part of the headlight switch/signal light stalk on the left side of the steering wheel. All that needs to be done is the existing stalk is changed out for a new one that has the fog light switch. It is a complete assembly that takes 5 minutes to replace. Piece of cake. You could probably do it yourself and save a few bucks. Hope this helps to put your mind at ease.By the way, if the dealer gives you a big song and dance about having to take stuff apart, or, like one guy told me, having to pull the steering wheel to install the switch, then he's either ripping you off, or he's never done one and hasn't a clue.
