So - i was having all the standard issues regarding my TPMS. When i went to dealer for oil change and to have them look at the TPMS again - that's when they told me my BCM is bad and that replacing it would fix the problem. Brought the car in to have the BCM replaced and the TPMS light has not come back on (4000 miles later)

However - I got home tonight and noticed that one of my tires looks a bit low. We've had some major weather fluctuations in PA and it's probably b/c of that - but i thought it was odd that it was low and my TPMS light (which is supposedly so freaking sensitive) didn't come on.

So I got to wondering - what are the chances the dealer just 'disconnected' it to stop me from complaining?

Just looking for thoughts on this. b/c i thought of this late at night, i can't test out the light right now - will do after church in the morning and update if i can.

If they disconnected it, then the TPMS light is supposed to illuminate. Was the light disabled seems more likely.

I would hope that any dealer would not think to do anything of this nature.

Also, if the BCM were disconnected, several other functions would not work correctly... like the window auto-up and auto-down.

You should be able to test if the system is working. Get a tire pressure gage and lower your tire pressure to 3 or5 psi below what it's supposed to be. Turn the car on, drive a few hundred feet and that light should be on. Now fill it back up to where it should be, turn the car on again and the light should go back off. If not then I'd go back to the dealer and tell them what you tried and have them fix it.
