I am in need of a good mechanic and shop in the Phoenix, AZ area that has the ability, knowledge and tools to modify the computer in my 06 G-35 coupe. I have installed a K&N filter and recently installed a cat-back duel exhaust system. I have been informed that the computer can also be reprogramed to help the performance. Does anyone know a good mechanic that has the technical knowledge and specifications? I would appreciate any help I can get.

Just reset your ECU and then drive it like you stole it. The computer will adapt and waste all your of gas for you!!!

Your mods don't justify a tune.

There are shops that do the ECU reflash for a fee...but as Nathaniel mentioned, your mods don't constitute the computer work. Gains will be minimal.

What would a MECHANIC know about computer reprogramming?Even a Infiniti Certified Technican would be lost.

Where is everyone's manners around here?

WELCOME TO NICOCLUB!

Glad to have another Phoenician on the board! You're going to really enjoy your time here! Everyone's very helpful... I totally agree that you shouldn't have to have any computer work done on your G... Check out the search button up top for threads on how to reset your ECU as once this is complete, the computer will "learn" the new additions you made and adjust accordingly.

Good luck and keep us posted!Dave

Thanks for the help. Wasn't sure. I had been told that the car can be put on a dyno and the computer can be modified from the factory settings to provide more hp.

You can, but without signifigent mods, its a waste of money. With the 05+, the MREV2 and plenum spacer is a great mod! I'd look into doing that.

Welcome to NICO!

Do you race your G? I run out at Speedworld about once a month. It would be cool to see you out there next time!

The boys are right your mods don't make tuning a cost effective mod. Wait until you have a turbo charger, cams or something like that. AMP Performance is a good shop. They do a lot of Mustang work but they can do other cars too. They also have the cheapest Nitrous fill in Phoenix
