Hello Board,

I Have Windows XP And Yesterday My Comp. Started Giving Me This Window That Shut My Computer Down After A Minutes Or So.....I Disabled The RPC And It Stopped But Soon After I Started Getting This Window That Said Bad Image And Gave A File Name.....Now When I Try Using Internet Explorer I Can Only Browse For About 5 To 10 Minutes Before It Says Action Cancelled, Or Web Page Cannot Be Displayed.....And Once This Happens I Try Clicking Things On My Comp. And It Says I Dont Have Enough Space, When I Have More Than Enough.

Can Anyone Help Or Give Me Somewhere To Start?

Thanks In Advance

ok... try this computer problem.

all new stuff, shuttle mobo with nforce chipset, ati 9600, 512 megs of ram, new 80 gig hard drive.

fdisk'd and formated the hard drive, but when I go to install xp, it gives me an error because it can't write to the hd. so I put my other hd in, a 20gig that the old computer ran on, and it won't boot off it. it's driving me nutts.

if you reformat the old one w/ xp on it then it should work, sometimes xp has trouble going from one computer to the other. Also, you could put the 80 gig in as well as the slave and try to fix it w/ the new installation of xp on the 20 gig. If you need any pointers hit me up on aim at reddragonhcivic.

custom, pop in your windows XP disk while your in windows, do an install, u can do an "update" install and that will keep all your programs, but if u dont mind loosing all your programs and stuff its best to do a fresh install, it will take about 30 mins and its not that hard to figure out how to get it.. try that and it will fix everything and your computer will be back to how it was when you bought it. if xp messes up and doesnt install some of your drivers go to http://www.driverguide.com (i think) the login/pass is DRIVERS ALL

:)

second person: try messing around with the S.M.A.R.T thing in your bios and all the other harddrive settings and IDE settings, also check to see if the harddrive is on master or slave, dont use C select it never works =\.

hope that helps, if its an emergency call my number in my sign
