Computer Problem (ECU)

Hi,

I have a 1993 Nissan Maxima with 80k miles on it. Its super clean!

The first owner only drove the car 3k miles a year according to the records.

Well my problem is I need a hole new computer brain (ECU). The silver box that is located under the middle of the console.

Somehow it got a short in it before I got it and it screwed up the injectors ( bought new ones) and is causing me to fail smog out here in CA.

Ok, so can I go to the junk yard and take out any ECU from any 1993 Maxima that has my same engine size or do I HAFT to get the same ECU that sports the same serial numbers that my car came with for my car to work and run right?
