Well in my quest to get this dang computer running of mine, I tried it again.....

While im working on it (while in the BIOS), it will randomly stop and say PARITY CHECK 2..... Some brief research said that some hardware is shot?? TRUE???

I believe that parity check means that it is testing the memory for certain errors. Most likely the motherboard may be bad or the memory, you may just have to flash the BIOS to get it working properly. Check the site that tenkawa said and http://www.techrepublic.com they have a lot of useful info there.
