Hi I bought a new comp wheel for my turbo and the shaft bore is to small so it doesn't fit on the turbo. The turbo is a gt3071r could I just drill it out to fit or do I need to get it professionally done?

If I can just drill it out what's the diameter of the shaft for a gt3071r?

I'd return the wheel and get the correct one.
I'm sure there's different versions of the GT3071r, so you'll need to know your specific one.

Personally, I wouldn't really mess with replacing JUST the wheel anyway. Those are balanced as an assembly, and once you crack them apart and start replacing components, it wont be right unless you get it balanced again, or can line up all the wheels and shafts based on the marks from the factory.

OP best drop that idea of drilling a part that has to run at up to 100,000 rpm........lol. Balanced ain't the word there, more like superbalanced.
