Compressor Getting stuck?

For some reason my AC compressor is getting stuck. It happens when it is just begining to get cold. It makes a loud noise when this happens... what could be wrong?

Check the belt. If the compressor is locking up it is time to replace it. Your only other option is if someone recently added way too much freon.

ill sell you my compressor in great working order for $20 + shipping

i took it out because i had a leak in a line somewhere and i didnt feel like tracking it down and paying mondo cash to get it fixed, so i just took my ac compressor out to save some weight. I think i still have some pics of it too.
