Compression tester woes...

I may be extremely blind as in how to do this... but I don't know how I'm supposed to tighten down the compression tester in the spark plug hole, as the hole is pretty deep. This is what I have...

You don't want to tighten it too much. Just stick it in the hole and twist the rubber hose. DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN IT!!!
