Compression Tested today

Well I was worried I had bad rings due to a large amount of oil being blwn out of the crank case. So I tested the compression today. Keep in mind this motor is completely stock internally and has 80-90K on it and has been running 12 psi or high since I put it in.

1- 1502- 1523- 1524- 152

Very good for an older SR. It really made me happy that my rings or valve seats wernt bad.

Hmm good stuff but the compression rings are different from your oil rings, is your motor spittin out oil or atleast smoking?

good to hear, if you havent already when you did the compression test, did you add a little bit of oil to the spark plug hole......if comp is higher then rings are bad

check your oil level, is it over fill?

I think it might be over filled some since I have the greddy oil pan but I dont know how many quarts so I usually put in 5.

Also adding oil in the cylinder to any eninge brand new or old would cause the compression to rise correct?

Also the car does smoke sometimes but its the turbo seals. I only blow by oil when the car is under full boost through the gears not in normal driving. Is that ok?

5L is too much man. Im running a greddy pan with an oil filter relocation and 4.7L shows MAX on the dipstick. I would say around 4.5 should be good for you.

5Q not L but I guess some of the Blow Bye is due to over fill.

the sr has a good amount of blow bye normally. at least every sr i have ever seen including my own which i know is in great shape. i have a 1.5mm head gasket and my CR is 136 across the board. (thats what it should be with the thicker head gasket)
