I have a KA24E sitting in my garage and want to do a compression test on it. I was told that if hook up a battery to the starter I will be able to crank it over. It was from an SR swap so the ecu is disconnected. Will this work and will it be accurate???

It will work if you hook it up correctly to the starter solenoid. Once it cranks over a few times, if you have a pressure gauge, it should build up enough pressure inside to give you a reading. Try not to over do it 'cause you' burn the solenoid terminals.

cold compression tests aren't as accurate.
