Well I saw tons of threads on this and thought I would provide some hope for the high mileage guys.

The car is a '92 with approximately 188,000 miles on stock internals.

I am VERY excited to see all of my good maintenance habits pay off. Just thought I would share. Time for boost.

It always does. I had a stock auto 94 teg that i ran for 40k miles on mobile one and it pulled on GSR's, vtec's, you name it. All i ever did was keep the ignition system fresh and the oil changed. Was a great motor.

180k is a lot for bearings though. Regardless of how well your rings are still sealing, your bearings at 180k have had a lot of dry starts and inevitably are worn. Wouldnt be a bad idea to do a simple rebuild (replace bearings, seals, water pump, TIMING CHAIN, check oil pump, ect). In addition the timing chain could be replaced, as well as water pump and possibly oil pump.

Well I have done simple things like timing chain at about 110k, water pump not too long ago. Also have done the valve seals as they were horrible.

Yea the exhaust side seals usually take a crap. If you didnt do your valve guides at the same time expect you new seals to crap out prematurely. The valve guides on the exhaust side take a beating on all 7 Ka heads iv taken apart.
