I was hoping someone in the tech. forum could help me out and give me a step by step on how to do a compression test at my home. I do not want to pay a shop to rape me for cash every time i want to test, so i figured i can learn and do it myself. keep in mind i have 0 experience with this, i dont even know what to look for on the gauge

thank you guys

1)warm up engine then turn it off2)remove all sparkplugs3)pull the coilwire if you have one4)pull the fuel pump relay5)open the throttle plate and prop it with something6)thread in your testor(or hold it down if you have one thats not threaded.7)crank it over about 5 times8)repeat for all cylindersnumbers should all be close together, within about 10psii'm guessin about 170-190 range for a KA i've never done one though. the important thing is that they are close together.
