So I was doing a compression test the other day on a KA24DE. I was using a tester like: http://www.amazon.com/Actron-C...0BM28

Anyways, I got done with one cylinder and went to unscrew the hose. I unscrewed the hose and tried to put the spark plug back in and got it out crushed. Figured out the adapter was still stuck in there. Spent some time tryna get it out but I couldnt, so I actually turned the car on with 3 cylinders and drove home.

I tried loctiting and using Jb Weld on a spark plug (it screws into the adapter perfectly), and waiting overnight and hoping that they would come out together but no luck.

How am I supposed to get this thing out? Its driving me crazy that a ten minute compression test has turned into a nightmare. I'm about to use Super Glue or gorilla glue now, anyone have any better ideas?

dont those actron plug adapters have bolt heads on them?or are you using on different than you pictured? if so

or

they are for removing broken spark plug sleeves but the should do the trick

if they dont work you may need to drill and reverse thread the adapter then you can use a reverse threaded bolt to remove it but then you may have to remove the head to keep metal shavings out of the cylinder. your situation does not sound fun

Try using a small amount of hot glue on the end of your spark plug and twisting it in the socket let it dry and slowly twist it back out. Hopefully it will catch the adapter.
