1995 - Nissan Pathfinder - XE-V6, Manual (4WD design, but no 4WD)

All,

Had an accident during the recent (2021-Feb/Mar) ice storm here in ATX.
Slid across MoPac and busted up the front/rear passenger wheel components.

Namely, as the title says, I need to start with the Compression / Tension Rod (name, according to repair manuals).
Sheared it right in half.

I'm having trouble finding a replacement online.

I just want to be sure, before going with a Nissan dealer, that there is or is not a more reputable (or well priced) alternative elsewhere.
My local quote was about $105+ (per rod) from the dealer.

Also, any recommendations for the remaining components up for consideration:
- Strut / Shock Absorber
- Lower Link
- Upper Link
- Torsion Bar Spring

These items are all general components of the front suspension/steering, and it may require a complete rebuild (no problem, come what may).
I understand that there may be many more sub/supporting components necessary.

Thanks.

Ouch! Salvage yards are a good source for OEM items like those busted pieces. Before investing the time and money into replacing parts and pieces, you should check its frame and body alignment first, to be sure it is actually salvageable. It took a great deal of force to bend and break those parts. The frame on this '95 is tough and rugged but it took the brunt of this blow. You should want to be sure it hasn't been crippled. My old '91 XE survived two major collisions, and was rebuilt good as new each time, but the third time was the opposite of charmed when I was t-boned. The frame was tweaked and parts like this were wrecked. The frame would have needed to have been racked and put back into alignment but it wasn't worth it to me so I buried it. The alignment measurements are simple enough to check for any major distortion. (see body alignment starting on page BF-58) >> https://www.nicoclub.com/service-manual ... 5%2Fbf.pdf

Yep, junkyard FTW. Especially DIY junkyards where you can get exactly what you need and see how it comes apart. If you can't find anything local you might try https://car-part.com/ as there are lots of yards in the program, kind of an affiliate type of thing.

Thanks for the reference.
I couldn't get anywhere with car-part. One seems to be relegated to only what's in the drop down lists.
No Compression / Tension rod or variant reference. Send a link (car-part) to the part, if I've done something wrong.

I'll be working on measuring the framework for any warping.
I definitely don't want to buy a lot of parts, if things are beyond reasonable repair.

After sliding into the concrete curbside, I actually was able to drive the Pathy home. It wobbled, but it made it.
Don't let the wheel picture fool you, I had already removed the bent strut and sheared compression rod.

I'll report back with updates and pix.
All advice is greatly appreciated.
