whats the ka24de factory compression ratio? How do you read the compression numbers(eg. 10:5:1)

How do you read the compression numbers?

9.5 represents the combined volume of the cylinder and the combustion chamber when the piston is at BDC.

1 represents the volume of the combustion chamber when the piston is at TDC.

well that depends on which KA24DE you are looking at

240SX is 9.5Altima 9.2Xterra 9.2Frontier 8.9Hardbody Pickup 8.6

(Look at that, you can use Frontier or Hardbody pistons to lower compression, say you go turbo)

hehe, I do the same thing :p

hardbody pistons, altima rings + turbo = very nice match...
