Thats for a leakdown test, a compression test is a lot easier. The leakdown test isnt really needed unless you get low compression test numbers.

steps,

1 Relieve fuel pressure/ disable fuel system:pull your fuel pump fuse. (it's labled in your under-dash fusebox)After the fuse is pulled, start the car... it might idle for a second then die out.

2) pull all the spark plugs

3) hook up the compression tester and crank the engine over a few times

4) repeat step 3 for all cylinders, don't forget to record your readings

I believe compression should read out around 179psi.

If compression numbers are under 150, or there is a difference of more than 10-15psi, there is something wrong.

If your compression numbers are high, you have carbon buildup. Run some seafoam through.

"Why settle for plain when you can be crunchy?" .

O, just a thought: shouldn't you hold the gas pedal at WOT when cranking - otherwise your readings may be lower than they actually are? I just remember that from a while back when I was doing mine.

I think that's covered in "pull all the spark plugs" - that way you car doesn't actually start when you crank it... At least that's what I did.

lol, yeah 125 is about what it turns out to be. I find that out the hard way every time I do a comp. test
