hey guys i just checked my compression and my cyliinders are reading... #1.115 #2.90 #3.115 #4.100. i don't know what it is supposed to be for the CA but it seems low to me. if anyone knows what the compression for the CA please let me know.Thanks,Paul:(

This is what i found in the Nissan manual.The compression on each cylinder should be:0.981 kPa to 1.177 kPa (9.81bar to 11.77bar)Maximum difference between each cylinder:0.098 kPa (0.98bar)Hope this helps.

You have major problems in your motor! Your compression should be around 140-155 per cylinder especially if you just got the motor. Sounds like worn rings or your rings are sticking! Never buy a RWD CA18 with a 5spd tranny attached to it. It's better to get an auto and take the flywheel and tranny seperately because of the abuse these engines take while drifting or whatever the case maybe. I think from factory, compression should be around 170psi per cylinder.

yeah the FSM says it should be standard 171psi and lowest it should be is 142psi...i am rebuilding it:D Thnaks,Paul
