rebuilding the motor from top to bottom, and hopefully gunna hit like 250 hp at the wheels. looking at pistons right now and i noticed cp has a good number of options for compression ratios i know 8.5 to 1 is stock and they go all the way to 9.5. I was thinking 9 to 1 i still would like to drive the car on weekends. With these pistons what would be a few god ideas on parts to accompany the pistons. things i am already a doing are greddy hg and arp studs and some tomei cams and as many gaskets as i can get. I am currently running an sr t25 turbo at 10 psi i may go higher depending on funds after the rebuild if a turbo is for sale at a decent price. im going to play it safe and say im not going to hit my goal but it will be a fun car to drive and thats all im looking for. i tried to fix some of my punctuation as people seem to have trouble reading my posts.i rode the short bus going to school.

How about a standalone ecu, a wideband o2, an exhaust temp sensor, and someone who can tune it correctly?

I vote you keep the compression ratio at 8.5 and use more boost. 9:1 will make the car more perky but it's eventually gonna limit how much boost you can safely run. And you will want to run more boost, I guarantee it.

Get a bigger turbo if you can too. Even a T28 will make a CA gobs of fun, go bigger if you can. Laginess can be somewhat mitigated by a timing and fuel tuning, but then again I like peaky, high-strung 4-bangers with turbos that kick hard when they come on.

And f*** that standalone bulls***, a rom tune will do fine for a setup like yours. The stock maps will probably be good up til about 1 Bar even, but beyond that start looking at getting it done properly. Be sure you get a frontmount too.

Also, why are you bothering with a metal HG if you're only gonna run wimpy amounts of boost? Slap a felpro on there and run it til she lets go.

thanks for the input guys. i was thinking sence we have these bullit proof iron blockes, rasing the compressin ratio waasent gunna kill me. i can promise one thing i will never hit over 15psi i dont like that crazy laggy kick in feel. i am already going to do head studs i left that out. i have a shop out by me synapse motosports who can dyno tune it they are goood from what i have herd. should i do connecting rods as well thinking fpr and walboro fp.
