compression for ka24de help?

anyone know how to do compression test on ka24de motor...and how much psi in each piston or cylinder...help please....

A good KA should have 180PSI on all 4 cyl with a max of 10psi difference per cyl.

Search the tech pages, If i remember correctly there is a write up on how to preform one.

Make sure engine warmed up otherwise readings will be off, but be careful don't have the engine too hott otherwise you can damage your head by removing and installing plugs

Step 1 remove Spark plugs

Step 2 diable spark and fuel (remove fuel pump relay and disconnect connection to ignition coil)

Step 3 install gauge and crank the engine over

Step 4 Take 4th reading from the gauge and compare it to stock specs
