123k does = wear on motor... imagine that!

Cyl. 1 : 167Cyl. 2 : 166Cyl. 3 : 162Cyl. 4 : 168

Stock : 179 Rebuild Spec : 151

I guess the loss in compression is the culprit to the slow times at the track.

Go to your local auto parts store and buy a compression tester for 20 bucks, or better yet, borrow one from a friend. remove the spark plugs and you will probably want to remove the fuse for the fuel pump, insert correct end of compression tester into the spark plug hole, turn the motor over once or twice and the gauge should read what your compression on that cylinder is, move on to the next cylinder and repeat.

PS, what do you mean by rebuild spec- Is that the point at which you rebuild the motor? Im gonna test my newly rebuilt motor in a day or two, I will post the results.

Yes, theres several determining factors for when a motor needs to be rebuilt burning oil, low compression, extremely high mileage, etc. : )

i would almost rather not know what the compression is due to fear of paying the HIGH DOLLA PRICE to repair. ironically i do have a brand new never been used compression tester sitting in the garage.
