On a dyno if you were going for MAX power and everything was equal between the two motors, you could run a tad more boost on the 88 and make a touch more power. But thats it...

Lets expand that a little.......not a thread jack but rather a 'thread expansion:)'. anyway, how about all things being equal except, 9-1, .020 over forged pistion vs. 8.8-1, standard forged pistons? I know there is now way to actually know but do you think it will be a big difference between the two? I have been pondering this for a while because I actually own a set of arias 8.8-1 standard pistons but was contemplating selling them for the 9-1, .020's.....waste of time or worth it? by the way, IMO if the latter gave me 20 or more HP, i would consider that worth it (as a reference).

It wouldn't be 20 hp. With all the machining and the hg of choice with all the same parts it would be just a few ponies. If your cylinders look good just drop in the standard pistons.
