hey, new to nico forums. just wanted to show my setup. Nearly finished with my compounding turbo setup which is installed in a Datsun 1200 ute. hoping for increased power band and over all drive ability with big top end. 35r feeding 28 series turbo with external gates on both. mildly built engine with drop in cams.

in such a light vehicle, wouldn't one turbo serve response and top end..... or is it just for the challenge ?
35r in any small ute should be scary
what is the ute used for ?
looks cool.... show us more pix of the whole vehicle

Built for street and drag use. The setup is more for testing and then go from their, upgrade for drags later on. Hoping to take on other datsun ca's at jamboree drags. Aiming to beat 8.8s 1/4 mile time that has been set by chris adams

Float, hasnt been cranked over yet. End of next month is the plan. Boost control with haltech ecu but only the small turbos external wastegate(spring14psi) and big turbo will be off spring pressure only 7psi.

that's a lofty goal. Good luck
Not shifting a 5spd gearbox I'd imagine.... probably automatic?

oda70 has a build thread on datsun1200.com, I hope he doesn't mind me linking it.

Float, manifold was designed around merge and log idea. Dont have any pictures of the actual manifold all together. Search the supra compound setup, looks like that with smaller pipe sizes.

Dash, still got the stock 5speed but g-force gf5r or similar will be installed once I get the car running and decide the next steps to be taken.

running at last, run in tune half done, alernator failed on dyno. Will be taking apart inlet manifold to install 72mm throttle body then replace alernator. Cant get the alernator out without stripping half the car haha :(
Small video of startup.

That's outlandish, rediculous and unnecessary. I approve.
