Hey. im looking to upgrade my whole system (HU, speakers, 2chan amp and a sub) now my question is, should i replace the conponents in the front, or get a new mid-range or 2way for the door panels, leaving the tweeters alone?

I am planning to use the stock wires for simplicity sake..

Any thoughts? Ideas?

ok, i dont have an s14 so i dont know how the stock tweeters hold up. This question needs some clarification, for instance whats your budget? what type of system are you trying to build a spl monster? or smooth SQ. and stock wiring will never get ya the best sound.

If you get components you'll need an amp for those too. You'll never even get half the potential of a comp. set running them off the head unit. If you want to keep it easy just get some new 2-ways that have a very high sensitivity rating, this will give you more volume with less power. If your running you speakers off the HU you probably wont need to upgrade your wires, since most HUs dont put out very much power at all(25watts rms x 4 at the most prolly). For high volumes and high clarity go with some comps. and amplify them.
