Hello all,

I have recently purchased a used 03 Infiniti G35 Coupe (Manual). Everything was great when I test drove (drove it slow to start off) it but of course after I paid for it I found a big problem.
When I start the car and drive over about 15 mph. The stability control kicks in. The car shudders makes loud noises and comes to a stop while giving me a heart attack in the process. Even when I directly turn VDC off this still happens. The only temporary (and annoying) solution that I've found is to drive very slowly (under 5mph) for the first few minutes, then the VDC and the SLIP light automatically comes on (and stays on) and I can drive the car fine until the next time I turn the car off. I'm broke after buying the car and can't afford dealership prices to fix. Is there a way I can permanently disable BOTH the VDC and Stability control so I can drive the car normally without having to drive like a turtle for the first few minutes of any trip?

The closest I could find were two solutions from searching the site:

#1 To remove the VDC fuse. Does this completely disable both VDC and stability control?

#2 I read about some kind of black box "located just behind the 6mt shifter" with a harness that you can disable VDC (and keep ABS) but I couldn't find a lot of information on it. Can anyone verify this or has any pictures?

Thanks to anyone who can be of assistance!

If you are really in the mood, you could also just remove the entire VDC unit.

Next time you look for a used car, you'll drive it hard off the line up to the 45mph hehe.

I really hope it is a simple fix. GL
