Anyone done a complete suspension refresh on their Pathfinder before? What I am looking for is the typical parts that go bad after 100k or need attention.

shocks, swaybar bushings, endlinks, bushings in general..

Would be good to at least locate a parts list so I can price out everything.

Honestly I am in pain I had to get a 4x4 for the winter moving up north and had to park my 540i until next summer

The Pathfinder I got is nice, great shape on the body and engine but obviously needs a suspension overhaul.

I found a few good how to threads already like the rear bars etc. which is really helpful but looking for anything else.

What's the preferred shock replacement just for normal driving?

I have come to find that the R50 suspension system is less than ideal for a smooth ride or a long lasting one at that. I had to replace my Front struts and coil springs along with my rear coil springs and compression shocks. i did that over a year ago and it still rides like hell, and it's very audible. Handles well on and off-road though. Oh and your bushings should all be fine, it doesn't really matter how they look, just as long as their in there.

my R50 rides good, its a 2001 qx4, and my last 2000 Qx4 rode good up to 190k mileish

only problems I had is rear bump stops coming apart (soft qx4 suspension bottomed out when fully loaded)

control arm bushings, ball joints, shocks, shock mounts are the areas I would inspect.
