The Altima alloy rims are 45mm offset and will touch the calipers. A 3mm spacer brings it out juuuuust enough. 5mm would work better but not sure if the lugs will grip 7-8 threads. With a 3 mm spacer I'm grabbing 9-10 threads. A set of 4 3mm spacers cost me $12. I also bought a set of used alloys for winter. It's better to look good than to run good ya know.AMD wrote:11$ a wheel, wow!
It would be awesome if it was like that in Canada! Here lots of people have two sets of wheels (usually alloys for the summer and steelies for the winter) so steelies are not that cheap.
The thing is I found some guy in the classifieds that was selling some 15 inches alloys. I don't know from which car they were coming, but they were stamped with Nissan 15x6JJ and the bolt pattern was right. I tried them on my Versa, but the calipers were touching the wheel.
So that's why I'm asking for models that we know are going to fit on my car.
Thanks!
4x114.3 for Versa and a lot of other Nissans (any 4 lug 240sx, B15 Sentra, etc)boxcarbill wrote:So what is the bolt pattern 4 x 110mm?
I got Sentra steel wheels for my snow tires too, and the fit was definitely no problem. Yes, they're 0.5" wider.AMD wrote:I've bought some wheels that were on a 2003 Nissan Sentra this weekend.
Tried them on the Versa and they look just fine. I'll post back when I have my winter tires mounted on them.
I'm running stock size winters on the Sentra wheels. As soon as my OEM summer tires are worn out, I'll replace them with 205/60/15 or 195/60/15. BTW, I was noticing that the car didn't seem to track so well on Highway 2 (Calgary to Edmonton). Is it just a bad road or is it an alignment problem, or is it because of the 185 tires? So far I've only made one return trip on Hwy 2 so I couldn't quite ascertain what the problem is.longo wrote:Put me down as a big booster of the wider Sentra rims and tires on a Versa.
I am running 205 60 15's and the difference is amazing. The car tracks straight and true, rides quieter and smoother.
When I put the summer OEM 185's back on, it drove like a Yugo that had been in a front end collision.
We are discussing Nissan factory wheels, not aftermarket.
To me that's too much of a stretch. But possibly could work. for 7" I would have 205-225 sized tires, with 215 being ideal.mosquito_R wrote:I might be slightly off topic here, but I looked at a set of aftermarket rims which are 15x7 with dual bolt pattern (4x100 and 4x114.3) with +38mm offset. Do you guys think that the 185/65R15 OEM tires would work or wold the 7" width stretch the tires out too much?
And how about the +38mm offset? Too much? Too little?
Thanks in advance.
