Hello, I'm in the process of refurbishing a 1999 2.4 liter Nissan Frontier XE that I purchased this summer. The spare tire jack and tools are missing. Before I head out to the junkyard, could someone please tell me what tool and jack sets in other Nissan years\makes\models are compatible with my truck? That would provide me a much better chance of success of finding an appropriate jack set. Thanks!

Measure the height from jack point to ground on the truck to get an idea how far the jack needs to extend. remember it needs to be able to hit that spot and go a long way to get the tire off ground. Maybe get a floor jack and jack up the truck to see how far it has to go to get tires off the ground. make sure the one you get will extend that far

Thanks for your response. I currently do not need to lift up the vehicle and have big floor jacks in the garage that could handle the job if I were at home. What I'm really interested in obtaining is the correct Nissan emergency roadside jack that came with the vehicle so that I can have "just in case" equipment that fits discreetly in the Nissan designated space. It seems likely to me that the 1999 Nissan Frontier jack and tire lowering tool is identical with other years\makes\models of Nissan vehicles (example: a 2001 Pathfinder), but I don't know for sure. Widening my options when doing a search for these tools when at the junkyard or on Ebay should make finding one at a decent price much easier. Thanks!
