Hey everyone! Im new here, yet im excited because I have so many questions and upgrades i cant wait to get started on! First question is this:

On my 2003 SE Pathfinder, where my rear view mirror is, i only have the sunglasses flip-down compartment, w/ the two overhead lights...in others, i see the Compass / outside digital temp gauge..and its beautiful. You think i could grab one online/junkyard something like that and have it work?

Going from the manual climate control, to digital is a bit more far fetched, but i didn't know if something like this was simpler? Anyone done this before?

Thanks!

Take the rear view mirror off and see if there is a connector for it already. If not use the service manual to see if it can be done easily: http://Nicoclub.com/FSM.

To convert your overhead console to the digital thermometer/compass you will need to obtain the overhead console assembly with the digital thermometer/compass as well as the ambient air temperature sensor (which mounts on the metal brace directly in front of the A/C condenser).

You will also need to ensure that the vehicle is pre-wired for all of the components. I can say with 100% certainty that the vehicle is pre-wired for the ambient air temperature sensor (the connector should be taped up on the brace). You will also need to check the fusebox to see if fuse outlet #9 is equipped for a fuse (it requires a 10A fuse). If everything is pre-wired and ready for the components then it would take no more than 30 mins. to install everything.

Good luck!
