?Compass Issues?

Car: 1997 Infiniti QX4

I noticed that my compass in my 97 QX4 was not correctly calibrated. I did the reset by holding the button down and selecting my region followed by driving in a circle about 10 miles per hour about 5 times and all it does is blink like its not programming. Any thoughts on a alternative way to erase it and reprogram it?

Set it as instructed not driving in circles. Your manual will tell you
