The dash-computer compass on my 2018 Nissan Leaf (Japanese import) is the exact opposite of the bearing it should be (i.e. North is South, etc), or awfully close to it... This is the compass near the speedometer, to which I am referring.

As best I can tell, this is likely because the compass "zone" is incorrect and has not been set for the East Coast of Australia.

My understanding is that once the correct compass "zone" has been set, the vehicle should automatically calibrate the compass; though there appear to be ways to do this manually if required / preferred.

I have found instructions on how to change the compass "zone" for Nissan vehicles that have the compass built-in to the mirror, but not for Nissan vehicles that has the compass in the dash-computer.

Seeing as there are ways to change the compass "zone" in other Nissan vehicles, it's a relatively safe bet that it can be done on the Leaf, also.

Anyone know how I can change the compass "zone" on my vehicle?
