I've driven a MKIV TT Supra, 350Z, Mustang GT, various swap Hondas, supercharged RSX, G35 coupe, and 318ti, just to name a few, but I still think my 240 is the funnest out of those. Could be because it's mine and so I'm more willing to beat up on it. Maybe I'm just biased. Some of these cars didn't make 300 hp, but of the ones that do. 300 hp still feels funner in a 240. I'd still like to get a C5 or maybe even a C6. I hope getting one doesn't ruin the fun factor that I get from driving a 240.

Horse power rating is only the frosting of it. You have to enjoy more then just power out of a car. I've driven a few different cars, and the 240 is among one of the better over all built cars with a great feel from stock to built. It has a fantastic wheel base, good weight, a pretty apealing view, and goof factory horse/ torqe. Not to mention RWD is fun all day long lol.

You know, people think I'm crazy when I tell them that my 240 is the most fun/best handling car I've ever driven but I honestly believe it's true. I haven't driven many sports cars but a mkII supra, 944, old school miata, some 3 series bmw, a '66 stang and a swapped integra (off the top of my head) as well as countless other non-sporty cars. I don't necessarily think that it's due to your willingness to beat on it eaither because i did beat on several of the cars i listed and none of them had the same appeal/thrill.

I'm glad you guys agreed with me. I thought the first responses were going to be, "GO DRIVE A REAL SPORTS CAR YOU 240 FANBOI!!!" In all seriousness though, I love how easily you can toss this car around and how predictable this car is. I'm not even a great driver either. It might not autocross like a Miata or have the grip of an AWD, but it's just a damn fun car to push hard in.

my first car was a 1970 vw bug with a rebuilt 1600 but it was a small vw so it could barely do the speed limit then me and my uncle swaped a 13b in it then it was fast as hell then i got rid of it so i can get a 240 and the 240's handling is way nicer then my bug but my bug with the rotary motor was way faster

I've driven quite a few cars, my dad's in the car business so I got to experience various makes and models, like the Saab 9 3 Viggen, a Mini S, to BMW's new Z4, plus while in the service I drove a R32 GTR, 350hp 98 STi, and a 500+hp 300Z, and 3 different 180's. Now I own a stock 97 240. I have to say that the 350hp STi was a freakin blast! But I love my 240, I'm not gonna beat around the bush, I'm biased towards Nissans I like my 240 because its handling is predictable and I can zip through traffic with ease and it's RWD! Sweet!

ive driven stock ka's for the past 6 years and im just now getting around to going with some real power (rb25). ive been more than content with the ka's through the years but the ka has become kinda boring at this point, i cant even imagine how much more fun this hatch will be after. only other car i ever plan on buying is a z32.

240s since 03.

agreed w/ op 100%

ive driven alot of cars when i ran valet. theres something about the steering radius and feel of the s13 that alot of cars, especially new ones lack. audis and vws have heavy clutches, MB's jags and bmw's are have a very electronic feel to the throttle.

i think the 240 just ages well..... mechanically anyways.

My 240 is great on the race track, and I haven't had the opportunity to drive a faster car than mine yet in that setting.

For daily driving, it's one major suckfest. I prefer my other vehicles without even thinking about it.

My 240 is by far the roughest car I've ever ridden in. It's not that comfortable even with s14 seats, but it does ok. And my single slammer isn't exactly a "powerhouse."

But the handling makes up for it all. Mine handles like a go-cart. I can take turns as fast as I want with 100% confidence. No body roll and the car is very predictable. I can't wait to get a decent differential.....

In fact, I probably prefer my 240's handling over my go-kart's.

the tc was a super fun car to drive. it handled nice and it pulls itself very wellthe lancer was my sisters car and its a big disappointment. the handling was ok but there isn't that much power.the accord was fun but the onlything i liked about it was it was a four doorg20 was nice a zippy with ok handling but the sr wasn't as cool as i thought it would be.and i just love my 240.its mine, i paid for it myself and it does everything i could want a car to do lolnow i just need to get my suspension done

Ones that flip over. Often. A home made P.O.S. basically.

driven:1995 volkswagen golf... first car and where I learn to drive manual. didn't know jack about cars at that time.1998 honda prelude...this car had a lot of top end power but handling was mediocre. a lot of torque steer.mitsubishi evo 8...some guy let me test drive it. fast but I never like the styling.350z... some guy let me test drive also. at that time didn't have a 240 yet however my bro-in-law had one (stolen) 240 felt more comfortable seating wise and vision.

1994 nissan sentra. a gift to my girl from my dad when she got her license. this car is badass beater that never let my dad stranded for 10 years he owned. I drive this car more than the 240 now.

all I can say the 240 has a lot of potential. it can be made into anything.

among the sportier cars ive driven i love my 240 and my friends fc, both handle well and are easy to drive around town. not the most comfortable, but its worth it.

My 240 is pretty much the crappiest "sports" car I've ever driven. But she's fast and handles on rails.

Yes, extensively modded.

Well, there's a reason for that. It's not really a true "sports car" (that can be argued, I know). But what more can you ask for out of a "sports car" besides speed and handling both of which you mentioned?

I drove a manual '08 Z4. I really didn't like the seating position at all. The clutch sucked and the suspension wasn't awe-inspiring like a 240 with a few upgrades. I think the S2000 is the 240 upgrade for all in all, but I haven't driven one yet...

135i with paddle shifters... fast but you could feel the weight compared to a 240. But so far, I like this car alot.

'06 328i... Needlessly harsh suspension for such a plebian car!

I drove a handful of Civics but couldn't make myself care about a FWD car...

Mazdaspeed 6... Effing awesome. Just needed a stiffer clutch to be perfect

RX8... Very fun compared to a 240! Almost perfect if it had any low torque.

'05 WRX... couldn't even tell it was turbo'd. A completely boring, understeering yawn of a car...

Driven:

e36 325i coupe, I liked it, felt only a little bit heavier then my hatch.

2000 prelude, hated it, torque steer was terrible, and it was heavy

95? civic, ew.

third gen eclipse v6, turning radius felt like one of a bus compared to my hatch, had power but not too much more compared to my stock KA...

Only other sporty car I've driven was a Lotus Europa, that thing was nasty compared to the 240sx.

Here is some pics:

I thought I was crazy when I thought my car handled amazingly but after reading this I'm convinced. I hate driving my parent's X3 because you have to take corners at 10mph... But so far it is either my 240 or a 350z that is the most fun to drive.
