When I first took delivery of my 2012 Rogue, I did the manual fuel mileage calculation to compare it to what the trip odometer said. I found that the actual mileage ( by filling til the pump clicks, zero the trip odometer, run to 1/4 tank, fill til the pump clicks, calculate) and found that my actual mileage is about 2 MPG less than the trip odometer reports. I'm fixin' to do the comparison again as I approach 30K, and I'd be interested to hear what delta has been experienced by others.

-0.45 variance averaged over 13 tanks. Best was -0.01. Worst was -1.00. There was a also a 0.26 (positive) in there.

I've found our Rogue to be pretty close to the mark. Our RX 400h, on the other hand, seems to be routinely optimistic by nearly 2 MPG.

ok, thanks. I only have one data point, so certainly not enough to form a conclusion. Also, I did it within the first few tanks, so by no means broken in at that point.

Mine is usually showing 1-2 mpg higher than I calculate manually as well.

Sorry to resurrect such an old topic, but my recent trip spawned a question. I have been doing mostly city driving, and my computer seemed roughly accurate at the 24 mpg point. I just took a long highway road trip and I got 31.0 mpg (via Fuelly) while the compute calculated 34.1 mpg. I realize this is consistent with other's experience, but I'd like to know if anyone has tracked multiple refills without resetting the computer at each tank (I have been resetting each fill-up). Do the computer numbers look more accurate if you go multiple fill-ups without resetting?

As I go, it does seem to get more accurate, but that's because when I reset it a few tanks ago it first was showing nearly 40 mpg. Now it's showing a 27.3 or 27.3 and I calculate at between 24-26.
