Hi, new to the forum. I have '07 G35x with all the bells. since i can't load music to CF, i plan on getting an adapter to convert to SD cards. that way i can load music onto them and put in the adapter then into the car. anyone try this?

also can you upgrade the software Nav to include recent geographical changes?

Can you alias the maintenance prompts to say "oil", "tires" "air filter" instead of 1,2 & 3? seems silly that you can't.

Wish you could use the backup camera as a rear view mirror when you drive....

Yes, the Infiniti dealership can load NAV changes for you, assuming there is a newer version available. Customization is not supported.

Welcome to NICO!

You can use the backup camera while moving...you just have to go into the diagnostic mode with the head deck. With the stereo off, hold the settings button down and turn the volume knob clockwise. You will be in the settings menu. There's a setting for calibrating the camera...you can go into that while moving. I've done it on the highway before ;)

You mean via the Diagnostics and Settings menu system: http://www.moodym.com/articles/diag/hidden-diag.shtml

Never tried that while driving.

Thanks Joe, I am eager to learn about the hidden "dealer" settings such as these. Much appreciated! I have heard you can reset the "learn" function of the transmission so the car can re-learn the way i drive. is that setting there as well?

quickest way to do that is to unplug the negative on the battery, press the brake pedal a few times and reconnect the battery. Resets the ECU.
