Hey all,

Just joined the forum after getting my car last week.

I have a question with regard to the CF player in the '07s with nav.

I got a 2GB flash drive and copied a bunch of tracks, all organized in folders and sequentially titled and everything.

Judging from the instruction manual, a stupid thing the car does is completely ignore the titles, and only play them based on the order in which they were copied. I haven't tried it yet, but I think copying them one by one would likely fix that. But that's annoying with 2G's of music.

My second question is this: Why do some tracks randomly not play? If I press track-forward, it will scan through the titles of tracks, but then just ignore them. I know that they are all compressed with mp3 in the proper version, and the proper bitrate, etc. But some just don't play.

I will say that a lot of the tracks that won't play are hour long DJ mixes, so they typically run about 100MB a pop.

Has anyone done this, or had the same problem with their CF drives? Any programs out there that will copy things in sequential order so I don't have to do it track by track?

Thanks,Euk

It's limited to either 255 songs per CF card. I bought a couple of 2GB CF cards for mine, but had to limit the total number of songs, and limit the number of files in the root folder as well. There's also a limitation on the number of folders and subfolders - it's in the owners manual, though - page 4-37.
