I finally found a compact flash (CF) card and added a few mp3 files to give it a try in my 09 FX50. The system loads the card and starts to play but plays about 3 seconds then stops for 30 seconds then plays another 3 seconds. This repeats itself. CD and Musicbox play fine. Any ideas?

First verify that it's not a defective CF card.
Second, Nissan/Infiniti audio systems have playback issues if the recorded audio tracks are not consistent. Further details are found in the owners manual.

I found that using an 8 gig card is best. When I tried larger size cards, it caused a delay in reading. The 8 gig card loads immediately, allows fast scrolling with the center screen, and all tracs play immediately. The 8 gig card holds hundreds of tracs so no worries there.
