I would like to keep the battery in the front, but need to drill a hole for IC piping. Any suggestion for a battery that is half the size?

Go to napa and get a lawn and garden battery, they are 55 bucks. 360 CA's and 300 CCA's. 12 volts as well, but thats a given or I wouldn't recommend it lol.

Wal mart has the same battery for like 30, but I know for a fact the napa one works. First start had to jump it, but every time after that it started no problem.

I will vouch for the lawn and garden batteries. I have a normal battery relocated to the rear of my car. I used a tractor battery to jump my car one day.

They also sell two different versions at my store. the 300CCA, and a 410CCA. I will get 'actual' numbers tomorrow. But they are the same size. And, you can get the post adapters for them to fit a 'top post' style.

I'm going with the tractor battery after I get some extra cash. I can't spend any money on the car right now. Wife will kill me... Plus it will be nice to pass tech without any issues of the battery in the back.

Maybe the tractor battery works good for us with low compression KA's..? Anyone with stock Compression try this?

eazye, my tractor battery started my freshly rebuilt ka, so yes, compression is no problem for the battery. Again the first start was jumped, but the battery had been sitting on the shelf for a while, and the first start is always the hardest.

All subsequent startings until i spun a rod bearing were fine. I can't say how long it will last, since my engine only lasted about 30 minutes.
