Common swaps into 240?

Hey guys, Im looking to do an engine swap into my 92' 240sx, I was wondering if any of you have some information about some of the common swaps into a 240, I have researched a few of them, I am looking for a cheap route with not too much extra work involved. Im pretty much just looking for what engine type and the work involved with whatever else I would need to replace. Thanks.

you could search...

you could turbo your ka, or get a ca18, which is cheap and easy to install. the sr20 is kind of easy to install but not the cheapest. the easiest/cheapest would probably be to turbo your ka24de

sr20det goes right in ~2000 for motorca18det goes right in ~1200 for motorrb20det needs special mounts and a couple of things ~1200 for motorrb25det needs special mounts "" "" """ ~haven't priced themrb26dett needs special mounts and a bit of custom work ~3500 for motor

sr20's and rb26's are more expensive because of high demand, but all of these choices have advantages and disadvantages

i'm leaving out the crazy swaps, because you asked for relative ease

when i say "goes right in" those are the one that will bolt in just fine, all of these will still require some components from USDM cars, but seeing as you have a 92, you should be covered, unless it's auto, then you will need clutch parts which is easy enough to do as well

the rb26dett will give you the most power, but are a rare swap for the s13

just go up to the little search buttom and type in - ca18det vs sr20det .... every1 has there own opinion but that will give you an idea.

What do you guys recomend? KA rebuild or SR swap? In a 92 240sx, auto.No prices involved.
