So, I'm getting rid of my sr powered 240 and am going to pic up another one. Before I spend another 7000 on an sr-swap, I was wondering how much hp you NA guys have gotten?

There are a handfull of 200+hp ka's running around, mine included :).

Anyway tho, a figure of 200-220 hp is not so hard or expensive to obtain. I will be unveiling all of my wild projects/parts hopefully try spark the interest of a few. The bar is definately going to be raised here soon.

NA KA is where its at, to much potential to overlook.

he probably has aggressive cams, valve job, head port and polish, higher compression pistons, and all the external bolt-ons.

I was first thinking about doing a NA build up, I have being doing research for a very long time, and at the end of the day I decided to go turbo, the reason was basically cost per hp.

NA I would have spent a minimum of $5000 to get a maximum of 220hpwhile force induction I will spend a maximum of $5000 to get a minimum of 240hp

Checkered-Member got it pretty good, oh and i might have been a little over zealous im probably pushing 200crank hp at the moment with my basically stock fuel/intake setup. I have under $1200 into my engine now, and i have quite a list of internal modifications.

If you dig deep into it and research/build yourself you can do many things for very cheap. Im on a budget, like most people, so i like to get my moneys worth.

Im not sure as to whats the biggest power adder thus far on my engine. I have never run it with a stock cam, jumped from a ~270duration up to a 285 here recently, and i noticed a decent gain from 5000rpm. I would say for a good start with na engine, high compression, cam, p&p do it all one time.
