I have a 2000 Nissan Frontier that I am finding extra sluggish even when empty, it is a Crew cab V6 in very good shape motor wise. I am wondering if you have any suggestions for me, plugs, filters, PCV, Cap Rotor, compression test?. There are no leaks fluid wise. Thanks to anyone.

What kind of plugs are in it? compression test is definitly a good place to start. Also has the fuel filter been changed in the last 30k? Those are basics But if those tests come out ok you could have an input sensor problem i.e. Airflow meter, O2 sensor.

Thanks man, I will change the plugs to Bosch 2's and change the fuel filter to start. If that fails then I will try to find a air flow meter. Thanks for the suggestions.

NO bosch plugs! They are known to cause issues in nissans. Go with factory NGK's. Dont automatically throw an airflow meter in it. You should test it to see if it is an issue.

when you say test, do you mean voltage? is there another test I can do on it? What would i be looking for when testing?

ThanksDrew

You are looking for 3 voltages at idle. 12volts, around 1.4 volts and less then .2volts.

Thanks for all of your help, changed the filter and did a pressure fuel injection cleaning with compressed air and a industrial detegent, she works beautifully now.

Cheers.
