My tire distributor suggested the Nexen N3000 tire. Anyone have any experience with these tires or knowledge of them? Specs look good, cosmetics look good, my price is in the $130 ea range for a 245/45 18. That size has a load rating of 100 (1764 lbs) and a Y (188mph) speed rating.

I've heard of them. They're certainly not well known in the US and definitely fall in to the uh, "budget" end of the spectrum. Most reviews seem to be OK, but not stellar. The company is based out of S. Korea.

If you're looking for a cheap high performance tire, you may want to check out the Kumho SPT tires. I'd pick them over the unproven Nexens and I don't think the price difference would be that big.
