Nah, I never ran over anything but you would be suprised how easy they break traction in the mud or snow. Never had one completely sideways but I sure tried like a mofo. I always wanted to see how fast I could go but there was never enough room. I had one up to 43 mph or so.

Yup, I'm positive that that's from International, The Engineering is in Fort Wayne and I have several friends that work there, one of them showed me one of em. pretty cool. Oh and that one you saw in Lafayette is for the DOT

And now, for $3.4 million, it could be yours!

Who cares about soccer practices, haul enough dirt to build your own field!

Now we just need to widen the lanes.
You think that's big? You should see the ones at the some of the coal mines I've been to. (my dad works for Pacificorp, a big international power company that owns just about every other power company in the western U.S., and I used to go to the mines with him when I was little). Some of the trucks there are literally twice that big. That little blazer in that pic would fit inside the wheel of these ones. The bed could fit a house in it, no joke. The funniest part is, they somehow manage to tip at least one truck over every couple of months. Imagine tipping one of those over!!! How the hell do you stand it back up?

With really big cranes. Interestingly enough, I see these machines and machines like them on a regular basis. You wouldn't want to be a mechanic for a mining company. During the busy seasons, you'll work 15+ hrs daily, 7 days. The cost of downtime for mining companies easily exceeds any repair cost. And parts are not cheap. Tires will run into the tens of thousands of dollars, and when talking about the biggest of the big sizes, only a select few manufacturing plants have the capability to build the tire. If you've ever watched the Discovery channel shows about these rigs, they always mention that the limiting factor for the vehicle sizes(and hence, the payload capacity) are the tires. The machine factories are ready to build even bigger equipment, but they can't, because nobody can build a tire big enough.

I'm surprised nobody has posted any pics of the monstrous motorhomes that plague our earth. Those are the most dangerous, because the 80yr old behind the wheel, with his oxygen mask hooked up to his breater tube on his face is a greater harm to me and my family than any emission from a diesel.

Just because he can afford it doesn't mean he should actually buy it!!1

As soon as I get home, I'll scan the pictures from my latest Car and Driver of a motorhome modified to be---and this is dead serious--amphibious. It's got pontoons and propellers and even a diving deck that folds down in the back. So now, you can drive to the lake, fish in the lake, sleep on the lake, and skinny dip on the lake all from the comfort of your own home. What will the rich people think of next?
