Hopefully by the end of May, I'll be opening up the doors to my very own aftermarket store. I figured since I've been selling loads of Q45 and other Infiniti parts, I might as well spinoff my very own store.

Renaissance Racing will offer a variety of products ranging from Tokico shocks and Hawke pads to custom, in-house parts like the 22mm bars and adjustable upper arms (I know, I know, I'll be in the Q45tech doghouse for a loong time :D ).

For the Renaissance Racing grand opening, we'll be running a special promotional offer: each time a customer places an order worth of $100 or more, shipping will be on the house AND the customer will get his/her name entered into a raffle that will be held at the end of the month. The prize: a gift certificate worth $150 at our store.

More details in the near future!

Thanks guys.

As of right now, it'll be strictly a webstore. High overhead expenses and rent in the Boston area have hamstrung any attempts at opening up a decent facility. My original plan was to take-over a shop nearby, nice with 3 lifts but it's way out of my price range right now. Besides, I'm moving to Vancouver in a matter of months.

I'll just rent out a small warehouse just outside of town to house the inventory.

I plan on doing a lot of custom one-offs like brake brackets, swaybars, adjustable arms and tension rods.

Rest assured, no member of the Infiniti family will be shunned. I'll offer parts for every vehicle ranging from the M45 to the M30.

I dedicate Renaissance Racing to you guys. It's my love letter to die-hard Infiniti family we have here at NICO.

Diamondj30,

Thanks for the kind offer. I'm racking my brain right now, trying to choose a logo. I'll make up my mind by week's end...I hope.

Is this going to be a long term thing? You will eventually expand to an actuall store and stuff?

could you eventually make some brake brackets for a 280zx to 510 swap? I think you could make a lot off the 510 guys because no one makes parts for them anymore...but sadly we have no 510 members here so....

well best of luck

Lessthanjakejohn,

At the moment, I have no plans of opening a 'physical' store. I'd like to keep this as simple and direct as possible, pretty much a build-per-order service rather than some store selling a bunch of aftermarket doodads.

I'm in the process of buying a MIG welder at the moment and I'll start fabbing up some tubular steel suspension pieces for the 240Z. It wouldn't be a stretch for me to start producing pieces for the the 510, one of my all-time favorite cars.

A few things on my 510 hit-list: tubular steel rear arms, strut tower bars, brake brackets and engine cradle for 13b swaps.

Aside from all the Infiniti vehicles, I'm looking to have all the Nissan cult cars covered ie the early 90's SE-R, 240sx, 300Z and the "egg."

First things first though, I have Q45 headers I need to make.

Good going Sopdadope, thanks for stealing MY idea! :D

Actually I was the one who suggested he set up shop.

I've known Sophann for over two years and I'll say it now, you've become a true asset to the Nissan/Infiniti community.

For some of you guys that don't know this kid personally, I'll tell you now he's one of the nicest guys around. Modest as all hell but don't be fooled, this kid's one of the craftiest techs and one of the sharpest Infiniti minds not working at T3.

List of jobs he's done for "Q-Bert."

1- chain guides2- new subframe3- turbine sensor4- active suspension conversion5- rear-end swap6- engine mounts

List of jobs he's done for my Supra:

1- Single turbo conversion2- new transmission and rear-end

He's responsible for EVERY mod I have on both cars.

He just hooked me up with an unbeatable deal on an RB26DETT motor, 200ZR oil pan and RB25 transmission!

He's renown not only here at NICO but just ask around the Z and Supra community and you'll hear gushing praise.

Sope, good luck with your business! I know you won't need it though, you're work ethic, service and awesome deals speak for themselves!

Tom,'always have been, and will be, your #1 customer!'

I actually grew up in CA, the bay area was my second home (lived in Oakland for a while before moving to Modesto).

I visit there from time to time, maybe I'll drop by!

Sop-Keep me posted, I wouldn't mind possibly making some bulk purchases to sell on my site and here where I am locally. I will also be taking on Nissan by mid-summer and I know there will be a lot of demand for mod parts there. I'll let you know when NISMO/R-Spec arrives so I can hook you up!-Joe

We have to also keep the G35 in mind... BIG market there, you could be the first with some serious performance stuff...

Ad don't forgot the growing commnunity of us step-sister 97-01 folks, we've got lots of money left over for mods since we're not chasing gremlins on a regular basis (my 92 is the gremlin car, the 97 NOTHING goes wrong). I'd like to start seeing cool stuff for those cars including higher performance springs, shocks, cat-backs (I know Stillen has one but more choose) and other cool stuff.

Rember they sold WAY more of the 00 and 01 than 02/03 models, so before you start to make stuff for the gen 3 help us out! I know good products that would bring a few more ponies to the table would get purchased.
