Hey guys, I have quick question. I need to change my struts and I was wondering what would give me the most comfortable ride, as I am not worried about quick turns. Also, if you would happen to know a cheap site to get them from I would be most appreciative. I am guessing that OEM's will be most comfortable, but since they are dealer won't they also be most expensive? Thanks for any info!

For about the same price as you will spend at the dealer, you can buy Tokico Illuminas. They are a great strut, have adjustibility, and are comfortable. Most of the time that these are used, the springs are replaced with aftermarket, which is what causes a really stiff ride. You can find the Tokico's in this thread .... zerothread/248426

If all you want is comfort, then I'd look into either OEMs or Tokico Blues.

The OEM struts are Tokico as well, and the Blues are considered factory replacements (though reportedly a tad stiffer).

Illuminas would work well too, on the low settings. I have Illuminas myself, and love them. But really, if all you want is a comfortable strut then Illuminas would be overkill. They cost more and you really wouldn't be using their main selling point: adjustability (and how well they pair with lowering springs).

In the position you described, I'd probably get a set of Tokico Blues and be done.

And http://www.shox.com sometimes has good deals.
